Can Cats and Dogs See “Spirits”? Science Confirms They Can See Frequencies We Can’t

Cats are mysterious creatures. Not only are they great to have around, but they also have a deeper spiritual significance in our lives. When a cat rubs against you, it’s not only her recognizing you as the alpha or just asking for food. It is also a way in which the cat is sharing its astral force and literally rubbing its magic on you. Photo credit, Jon Carling

According to EWAO, “Cats are a positive influence on your life and they often prevent evil spirits from invading your space. They also protect your home from negative energies that enter your house or even ones that previously resided there. Here are a few ways cats protect you from more than just physical threats:”

From a scientific perspective, according to a study conducted by researchers at City University London, UK cats and dogs can (and other animals) can see frequencies humans cannot. As summarized by Pet MD:
“Have you ever felt that your cat or dog can see something you don’t? Well, you may be right, according to a new study. Cats, dogs, and other mammals are thought to see in ultraviolet light, which opens up a whole different world than the one we see, the study explains.
UV light is the wave length beyond the visible light from red to violet that humans can see. Humans have a lens that blocks UV from reaching the retina. It was previously thought that most mammals have lenses similar to humans.

However, many of our readers have reported having more spiritual experiences that seem more mystical than science seems to support. Have you experienced anything with a pet that connected you with a long-lost relative or a warning that you simply could not ignore?

Evil Spirits:
Many cat owners (and dog owners too) believe that their beloved pets are alerting them to the presence of evil spirits and natural phenomenon, and maybe even trying to protect you from these forces.

Medical News Today reports that “According to a new survey of more than 2,000 pet owners in the UK… more than 30% of people believe their pets protect them from ghosts and spirits. Many pet owners reported that their dogs or cats alert them to a supernatural presence by barking, growling or staring at nothing, or by backing away from something that cannot be seen. Some respondents said their pet also displays flared neck fur when a spirit is nearby.”

Cats seem especially sensitive, and some owners believe that their cats will follow spirits and use their energy to expel unwanted entities from its territory, and thus your home. You can assist in the effort by praying and or burning sage to drive away these negative energies.
If you are moving to a new home you might consider using an old Russian tradition that used cat’s natural powers to cleanse the house: “Russians used to have a very interesting ritual: when moving to a new place of residence they first let a cat in the house. If the house was old, the cat was taking care of all the unwanted negative energy – a remainder of the former owners. If the house was new, it demanded “a ransom,” which represents a powerful energy charge that a cat can give.”

Psychic Abilities:
From the same UK survey referenced above, it’s thought that your cat may be psychic:

“…many pet owners believe their animals can sense when a family member is heading home or when they are about to leave the house. Others said their pets know when it is time for dinner, while some said their animals can sense when a storm is on the horizon… 75% of pet owners believe their animals can predict illness, with one dog owner reporting that their canine friend alerts him to a kidney infection by placing a paw on his stomach.”

Medical News Today also reported on a study revealing how two highly trained dogs were able to detect prostate cancer in urine samples with 98% accuracy. There have been reports of other species of animals able to detect illness in humans, so it’s likely you’ve experienced your cat knowing when you are not feeling well and lying close to you, or directly on top of the area of discomfort.

Curses
Since cats are such a positive source of positive and cosmic energy, it’s thought that they can remove evil eyes and curses. Watch where your cat often sits, they gravitate towards energy centers in your home.

Healing
There’s a good bit of research to support the healing ability of cats. For example, researchers have found that cat owners reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes by more than a third. Scientists suggest that having a cat helped to relieve stress and anxiety, which is known to help protect against heart disease by lowering blood pressure and reducing the heart rate.

There’s also some research that indicates that you can meditate with your cat ,and see some excellent health benefits.

Here’s a great video that shows a pet psychic (or communicator) talking with a cat that’s recently lost his pet guardian who was homeless–see how he responds to the conversation:

Here’s another heart-warming video of Oscar the cat, who seems to know when hospice patients are at the end of their lives and comforts them during their passage.
