6 Natural Anti-inflammatory Remedies

The knee pain can be caused by many various things, such as an active lifestyle, ligament injuries, cartilage tears, arthritis of the knee, rheumatoid and post-traumatic arthritis of the knee, osteoarthritis, and others.

1. Rosemary

As an aromatic herb, people use it in cooking, but many used it in aromatherapy. It is rich in ursolic acid, which has the ability to relieve knee and joint pain and fighting infections.


– 2 cups of water

– 200 gr. of rosemary

Instructions and use:

1) Boil the water

2) Add the rosemary

3) Simmer the mixture for about 20 minutes and strain it.

4) Dink 2 cups of this tea every day.


2. Horsetail

Horsetail consists very powerful anti-inflammatory properties.

Use: Take 2 cups of horsetail tea every day to treat knee pain.

3. Turmeric

Besides the other uses of turmeric, it is a very powerful spice for treating knee pain, especially when it’s combined with saffron.


– 1 tablespoon of saffron

– 1 tablespoon of powdered turmeric

– 3 tablespoons of honey

– 3 cups of water


1) Boil water

2) Add the saffron and the turmeric inside

3) Simmer it all for about 10 minutes

4) After cooling down add the honey

5) Drink 1 glass of it throughout the whole day.

4. Ginger

Ginger is a root that possesses properties which can relieve pain. Here is a recipe how to use it:


– 2 cups of water

– 2 tablespoons of honey

– 200 gr. of grated ginger root


1) Boil the water

2) Add the ginger and simmer it for 20 minutes

3) When it has cooled down add the honey.

4) Take 2 or 3 cups of this tea every day.


5. Flaxseeds

Flaxseeds are rich in nutrients and possess very powerful anti-inflammatory properties. They have the ability to improve the digestion and increase the immunity.

Thanks to the omega-3 fats it alleviates the pain and reduces inflammation. They can be added to smoothies, yogurt, salads etc. They shouldn’t be cooked at very high temperatures.

6. Cherries

People use cherry juice to recover their muscles after they work out and also reduce inflammation.


– 250 ml. water

– 250 gr. of brown sugar

– 300 gr. of cherries


1) Blend the cherries with the water

2) Add the brown sugar

3) Simmer the whole mixture for 20 minutes

4) Store the remaining juice in a glass bottle in the fridge.
